Jo Crozier
Jeweller

Jo Crozier has been making jewellery for over 10 years. Her initial inspiration came from her mother, who also made jewellery and introduced her to the work of Breon O’Casey. Jo inherited both her mother’s enthusiasm and, in due course, her tools.

Key themes of the work are simplicity, unpolished or matt finishes, and an emphasis on letting the materials speak for themselves. The work is timeless, sculptural and easy to wear in both informal and formal contexts.

Current pieces focus on the use of precious and semi-precious stones, often unpolished, enhanced with hand-made silver beads. In addition, a range of irregular chains incorporate silver pieces, stones and beads, using hammering and oxidisation to create a subtle, worn-in effect.

Recent exhibitions include two collections shown at Gallery 12 in Hampstead, London.
